Solution
The solution for this collection of work revolved around usability and legibility while maintaining a consistent look and feel.

Intuitive Mapping
The graphics of the user interface of the Dualhead Infiltrometer are screen printed over a black anodized aluminum faceplate. The information on the upper right corresponds with the ports located on the side of the instrument which were mapped based not only their location, but also the orientation in which they would be used.
Water-resistant Materials
The Dualhead Infiltrometer is a field instrument that measures characteristics of water flow. Given the environment that it is used, we wanted to ensure the durability and lifespan of both the manual and quick start guide which are stored on the inner lid of the case. We sourced water-resistant and tear-resistant materials for both.
End User in Mind
In collaboration with the product manager and copy writer, we thoughtfully crafted the copy and design to present all the pertinent information in a format that is easy to read with instructions that are just as easy to follow. We wanted the end user to be successful in their use of the instrument and it was important to ensure that setting it up was the easiest part of the process.
